Nice find Warwick. I like the "Simply "burning rubber" isn't enough" but clearly it still does something i hope.

Will be interesting to see if there is an icon or something telling you the status of the track from green to rubbered in and if it rains will that turn the track back to green again. e.g prac is dry qual is wet race starts dry will this mean the track is green for the start of the race i wonder? or will rain have any effect on that at all...

Can only wonder how many different variables there are for just the tyres and now through in track conditions and weather + anything else they have included that effects tyres and the code for it all must be ugly huge. ISI and Iracing must be crazy but i'm glad they are Smiley

Found this and it partly answers my own question.

The groove is carried from one session to the next. Currently, when you start a weekend the track is green. There is code that will allow us to set the level of rubber on the track at the beginning of the weekend, but it's not fully implemented yet as a feature. And yes, when weather is complete the track will change between sessions depending on the current weather (at least the last time I heard that was the plan)...

So i would say the need for some kinda icon or HUD track info thing might be good.

And straight from Scott @ ISI. I asked about HUD icon or monitor screen info for the track condition and also would it be time based on the weather as to when the track is "lost" from rubbered in back to green? e.g if it rains for 10min or more then the track will become green.

There certainly could be some sort of icon or status for current track condition, but nothing is implemented specifically for that yet. You can certainly see and FEEL the difference.

As for the other, honestly I don't have an answer for you. I don't know the details of the code the programmer has planned. I'll see if I can find out something but can't promise anything ATM...

Maybe i've asked pointless info but its info non the less.
